Roger T. Mechling
Roger is the senior partner of the firm. A native of Worthington, PA, he has practiced law in Kittanning for the past thirty-eight years. He served eight years as an Assistant District Attorney and for ten years as Armstrong County Divorce Master. He has also served on numerous occasions as court appointed master in partition, auditor and trustee. His primary practice areas include title examinations, title insurance, real estate closings of which he has done nearly five thousand over his career, oil and gas matters, estate planning, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and elder law generally, the representation of executors and administrators in estate administration, small business formation, such as corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other business entities. He is also a licensed title insurance agent.
Roger has also represented numerous boroughs, townships and municipal authorities. He is presently Solicitor for the Armstrong County Industrial Development Authority among others. Numerous local businesses are also among his clients.
Roger received his B.A. degree from Thiel College, cum laude in 1969 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977 after serving his country in the United States Army. He is a Member of the Armstrong County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania courts and U.S. District Court for Western Pennsylvania.
Roger has maintained an "AV" Pre-eminent rating with Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Rating Service for many years.
Roger is married to Cheryl A. Mechling. They are the parents of three and grandparents of four.
Tyler S. Heller
Ty is a partner in the firm and a life-long resident of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. He represents public and private clients in real estate, business law and municipal law matters. Specifically, Ty has handled property sales and acquisitions including the necessary financing, title search and examination, title insurance for public and private clients, and has counseled numerous small business owners related to the formations and function of their businesses. In addition, Ty represents a number of boroughs, townships and municipal authorities in Armstrong and surrounding counties, assisting them with financing and due diligence related to construction and expansion, as well as providing counsel during the normal course of operations.
Ty earned is B.A. in Philosophy and Business from the University of Pittsburgh and earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was member of the Journal of Law and Commerce. During law school he also clerked for the Pennsylvania Superior Court and completed an internship with the Armstrong County District Attorney. Ty is a member of the Armstrong County Bar Association (past president) and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
In addition to practicing law, Ty has served as a youth hockey coach, and is a member of the Armstrong Hockey Hall of Fame, a local non-profit organization that promotes and supports youth hockey. He lives with his wife Jenessa and their children Hadley and Parker.
